PRACTICE NURSES

They provide a range of healthcare advice and services including infant and adult immunisations, travel vaccinations, cervical smears, dressings and removal of stitches, ear syringing and health checks (lifestyle advice). The receptionists can advise on who is the most appropriate for you to see.
In addition they run clinics to monitor blood pressure, asthma and diabetes, assist the doctors in minor surgery and are always available to offer professional advice.
Our nurse practitioner, Mrs Cathy Smith, is highly qualified and is able to issue prescriptions herself. If appropriate you may be offered an appointment with her instead of one of the doctors.
We have five highly qualified nurses in the practice. Cathy, Geraldine, Jenny, Ruth and Julie comprise our Nursing Team and they each have their own special areas of expertise.
Duncan Ferguson is our Business Practice Manager. He is responsible for the overall management of the practice and its services.
If you have any queries or comments to make about the general running of the practice, please contact the surgery to speak to Duncan or make an appointment.
Our reception staff will assist you in making emergency and routine appointments to see your doctor or nurse, undertake repeat prescriptions, answer a variety of questions and offer help and assistance at all times.
